What products should I use on my curly hair?

I have thick curly hair but with pretty large curls. I used to used gel which was harsh on my hair and switched to using leave in conditioner then spraying pantene spray for hold. It usually holds but lateley its just been frizzing out. So far nothing but gels held it but its too hard!! what products do your guys suggest for people with thick curly hair?
